I'm so excited I resorted to musical theater to express myself.
It's June! June! June! I always get this song stuck in my head when summer starts creeping up. That uncontainable excitement that overcomes us when spring is almost a memory and the longest day of the year is just around the corner is oddly, perfectly captured by this delightfully weird (suprisingly dark!) and musically wonderful Rodgers and Hammerstein show, Carousel.
There's a lot to get excited about this time of year (sunshine, Farmer's Market bounties, hot dog carts, beer drinking on patios...) but we're particularly thrilled about catering the upcoming Summer Porch Party at Leopold Bros. Distillery to raise money for The Colorado Symphony. Have you purchased tickets yet? If not, maybe this "spring into summer" menu will get you in the mood...
