The Day After Chopped
The Preservery is hosting a meet & greet Happy Hour on Wednesday, February 22nd, from 3pm to 6pm. In celebration of our sous chef Dave Hadley's appearance on Food Network's Chopped, (which airs on Tuesday, February 21st) we will donate a portion of Wednesday evening’s proceeds to No Kid Hungry, Dave's favorite charity.
Come and meet the chef in person, eat, drink, and help raise money for a great cause... and, help us celebrate his achievement! Happy Hour specials include $2 off draft beer, $7 wine, and $7-8 cocktails.
Staying for dinner? If you join us for the event and decide to stay for dinner, we'll extend Happy Hour drink prices for the duration of your visit!
Chef David Hadley
Dave has been contributing his talents to The Preservery since the very beginning, almost a year ago, now. A New Jersey native, Dave discovered his love for food early on after spending time in the kitchen with his Grandma. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Dave has worked for many of the state’s most esteemed restaurants and chefs, since moving to Colorado, including Chef Mark Fischer at Six89 in Carbondale, Acorn in Denver, and he even helped to open the first Biju’s Little Curry Shop. He came to The Preservery because of his love for the RiNo/Five Points neighborhood and a desire to pursue his own style of food and introduce people to different, unique flavor profiles. This is always evidenced by his beautiful contributions to The Preservery's menu, such as the handmade samosas with Kerala chutney or the ever-popular Masala Lamb served on a bed of stewed fregola.
Driven by a love of local farms and produce, he also loves to teach kids about cooking and has been known to give impromptu classes when young friends stop by! He went on Chopped because of his competitive spirit and to achieve a seemingly impossible goal. He wanted to show, with confidence and creativity, that he has pride in his roots yet works to define his own style when it comes to cooking.
Here at The Preservery, we are very proud to call him a leader on our kitchen team, and grateful to benefit from his tireless drive, his attention to detail, his creative spirit and his passion and talent for making things taste delicious.
