Join us for a tasting tour of the birthplace of specialty cocoa!
We are thrilled to partner with Simran Sethi to present this educational, fun, and decidedly delicious tasting event. Simran tells stories of the world through chocolate. She is the author of Bread, Wine, Chocolate: The Slow Loss of Foods We Love, named one of the best food books of the year by Smithsonian; the host of The Slow Melt, the first podcast dedicated to a deep exploration of chocolate; and a former visiting scholar at the Cocoa Research Center at the University of West Indies in Trinidad where she studied chocolate making and the sensory analysis of cocoa.
Together we will explore (and taste!) chocolates from three different origins: Belize, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic, including bars from some of our favorite craft chocolate makers such as Ritual, Taza, Dick Taylor and more!
Each ticket includes:
- tastes of nine different chocolates from five different makers and three different origins
- bread and butter for snacking and palate-cleansing
- plenty of great discourse on chocolate
Don't miss out on this unique tasting!
