The Preservery is thrilled to be partnering with Ridge Vineyards to bring you this casual spring wine tasting.

We'll be pouring selections from Ridge Vineyards to be paired alongside bites and hors d'oeuvres made from scratch in house. This approachable wine event will feature representatives from the vineyard, including Will Thomas, the viticulturist at Lytton Springs. Learn why Ridge is one of our favorite domestic wineries and what makes their wine, and their company, so special.

You'll get to taste:
· 2014 Chardonnay Estate
· 2014 Pagani Ranch
· 2014 Lytton Springs
· 2012 Mataro
· 2012 Merlot Estate

And eat:
Scotch Olive - cotechino sausage, manchego, castelvetrano olive
Grilled Cheese - housemade white bread, asadero, tomato gelee
Arancini - arborio rice, saffron, mozzarella
Asparagus & Melon - grilled asparagus, pickled melon, prosciutto
Beef Satay - marinated beef, chutney

Since 1962, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare sites where climate, soil, and varietal are ideally matched. Their aim is to guide the natural process; using traditional methods, they strive to produce exceptional wines from distinctive fruit.

Will Thomas is a Viticulturist for Ridge Vineyards, responsible for Lytton Springs and Geyserville. Raised in the Napa Valley by two parents in the wine industry, Will feels most comfortable in the presence of grapevines. He attended UC Davis and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture and Enology, as well as a Master’s degree in Viticulture. Will takes great pride in being an organic and sustainable winegrower, drawing on vineyard and cellar experience from his stops at Merryvale Vineyards, Vineyard 29, Cakebread Cellars and Integrated Winegrowing. In his free time, Will enjoys moonlighting at the Lytton Springs tasting room during events, which inevitably leads to at least two unprompted vineyard tours. He and his wife Nikki reside in Napa with their two children, both of whom are harvest babies.
